Turmeric latte also called golden milk, it is a traditional drink believed to have health benefits and contains anti – inflammatory response.

Turmeric latte is a caffeine-free drink consists of warm, frothed milk.
Even though it has latte in a name, it contains zero coffee in it.

You can make it with turmeric root, turmeric powder or even turmeric juice, even though I never tried it with its juice.

The ingredients you’ll need:

Turmeric root
Turmeric powder, optional
Coconut sugar
Vegan milk

Small size of ginger root, 1 to 2 tbsp diced
Pinky size turmeric root, 1 to 2 tbsp diced
1 cup water
2 cups vegan milk
Pinch of turmeric powder for the colour
¼ cup coconut sugar

You can let it simmer or just bring to boil, I usually, bring it to boil and serve.

My partner and I are so obsessed with this drink so I make it often.

We enjoy drinking it outside with some homemade dessert (if in the mood of baking) while watching our boys roll blading.

I served it to my family and some friends, but the most lovely response I got is from my sister-in-law.

She’s the expert of teas and lattes, so when she had it she said it’s so good, it’s better than the coffee shop.


*From experience, I tried with only turmeric powder, and it’s not the same as with turmeric root.

The flavor is much delicious and rich in taste.

*I tried making it with brown sugar, agave nectar and I notice that with coconut sugar the taste is not overly sweet, it is rich and lightly sweet in flavor.

*You HAVE to stand beside while you waiting for it to boil or else it will spill, oh my how many times I spilled it because I’m always doing a few things at the same time

*I tried with almond milk and with oat milk, with oat the texture and the taste were much richer.
