Hey, so August 22 is World Plant Milk Day ( Thanks Plant Based News for being so awesome!). So I wanted to celebrate all things not dairy milk showing you my favourite dairy alternative milk. OATS.

Why is oat milk my favourite? Because it is cheap, easy and tasty. You can find oats nearly everywhere in abundance and they are the easiest food staple to store as well.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups of water
1 cup oats
2-3 dates (optional)

DIRECTIONS

Soak your oats for about 30 mins to an hour before making the milk.
Drain the water from the oats and add both oats and fresh water to your blender.

Depending on if you have a regular blender or a stick blender you will want to blend the mixture for about 5 mins

Pour into a nut milk bag that is in a bowl, and massage out all of your oat milk. This can take a few mins so be patient.

Once done, save the oat pulp for smoothies, cookies, etc. and pour your new oat milk into a jar for safekeeping in the fridge.

DON’T FORGET TO COMMENT DOWN BELOW.
